K.Mart Wishing Tree

When i need a rest/break, this is how i keep it all organised. All the parts are paired up ready to sew and put into zip lock bags.
Probably too early for New Years Resolution, but i am going to make mine now anyway, Be More Organized. Anyone reading this who knows me personally will understand this. My organizational skills are poor.

10 Jack Rabbit shorts cut out.
10 Jack Rabbits cut out.
I am making the most of the cooler weather today. Having so much fun.

Tip of the Day

My Tip of the Day is when you are printing from a PDF pattern, print it onto sticker paper and then peel it onto cardboard and cut out. Much simpler. You can then use the original packet to store the pattern instructions and pattern pieces, Just cut out a window on the pack.

Funky Friends Factory bear, I will be using this pattern again this year, a big hit! and a lovely pattern to use.

Pincushion and Decoration Swap

At our Christmas Party at the cloth Doll Club last weekend we had a Christmas Tree Decoration and a Pincushion Swap, These are what i got! I love this red beaded crochet decoration but it is too heavy for the tree so i have it on a door handle.
and the Pincushion is this, It is delicately hand stitched in varigated threads. As usual, the different kinds of things made was fabulous.

What you need per decoration, 5 circles folded in half with picture side inside. craft glue. glue white side glue sides together and you end up with a ball.

Cushion

This is Tilli and Meggies Christmas present, a large floor cushion.
Tilli loves it already.

Capes

The 8 teachers capes are all finished. Two of each colour with their house letters on the back. I chose a font from the computer called Yearbook and enlarged it by 800%. Two in blue.
Two in green.
Two in red.
And two in yellow. They are in two kinds of fabric, the black background is from a wool coat, ironed onto a heavy iron on interfacing, then the top colour was done in felt and sewn onto the black, then the black was sewn onto the cape. except the blue was done in cotton drill because that is what i had. The neck draw string is an artificial leather which i unraveled from a braided belt from Savers.

New Book

I just have to share with you today my latest purchase. Knitted Wild Animals by Sarah Keene. I bought my copy from Lincraft for $30.00 which makes it very good value at $2.00 a pattern and all the animals are lovely. A delightful collection of 15 knitted animals in 8 ply yarn, my favourite weight. I could not wait to get started. If you like knitting/making toys then i can highly recommend it. it is well written and has wonderful pictures both the front and back view of all the animals.
