Pink Project. The Magrath Foundation.

This is what I have been doing today, Preparing fabrics and batting for the McGrath Foundation, The Pink Project. I have drawn the fronts and cut out the backs for 12, I plan on making two a month and then posting them off in batches. Taking a bit of a break right now, then back to do the next 12. All set for next years weekend projects. I have a box for them to be in marked PINK PROJECT. The down side of getting it all ready to go? The marker is pretty strong smelling.

Trio Of Memory Bears.

This is what I have been making. I started them on Sunday and finished and delivered them today. Less than a week because I have not slept.
Made for my client, her sister and mother with clothing of the beloved.
The pattern I used was https://www.funkyfriendsfactory.com/featured-soft-toy-sewing-patterns/memory-bear-keepsake-toy-sewing-pattern
I highly recommend it.

I hope that it will one day give them comfort.

Ready To Bind.

I have been away from my sewing machine for a few days, a couple of reasons, needed to let my finger get better after the miss-hap (lack of concentration and I sewed through it). and my daughter and Son in Law came to visit, they were down this way for a wedding. They are travelling back home now so back to the routine. Just need to add the binding this afternoon and then it will be ready to post tomorrow.
I have already picked my next quilt to do so more on that later.

Getting There.

Almost there, Just the corner blocks to do. I will be pulling in the yellows and oranges in the sashings and binding.

Aussie Hero Quilt Continued.

Taking a half hour break, Lack of concentration lead to needle going through my finger,  Major ouchy! Lucky it was a straight up and down on flesh and not bone.

Change Of Mind.

This is the re start of my Aussie Hero quilt request. Although I love the idea and implementation of the painted quilt blocks, I realised that for a child I need to make it simpler. Armed with my $10 Spotlight voucher I bought some mermaid fabric and some Fish fabric. The keys and the blue/green fabric is the back, represents dad, and the mermaid and fish for the front for the daughter.
