Crafternoons and Aussie Heros

This is what I have been doing for a couple of days. Making up kits and ideas for our Crafternoons. One of the things we are going to do first is revamp these old workable folders, they are going to be re covered in the pink wool fabric which they will embellish with buttons beads and other findings as well as embroidery. They will have their month by month projects added to it as well as photos of their finished works. They will be making bags, snack bags, a lined tote to carry their things in, a pencil case. They can make anything from this book too. and I have provided materials to make the bags with. They will also be making this woven basket as well, a non sewing project. This is just to start them off. But the first thing they will be doing is drawing on fabric and using that as a sewing machine sampler.
This is quite a funny story, I sent this fabric to Aussie Heros for laundry bags or backings last year when all I was doing was finding fabric before I started making the laundry bags. I asked for help and they came back to me, How cool is that! So now I have the fabric to go with the linings so more laundry bags will be made too.
