Aussie Hero Quilt Continued.

All blocks have been quilted and cut to size. Ready to assemble them. 1st step is to join the 3 yellows together then add the yellow sashing to the sides. Next is to join the two side columns together then add them to either side of the yellow making a square of 9, then finally group the top and the bottom into 3 then join them to the yellow.

Next Aussie Hero Quilt Started.

This is a rough layout with Meggie helping.
Bought this in Spotlight today, A3 light pad, using a 40% off coupon it went from $80 to $48. This will help me enormously with my work.

These are the finished blocks so far. 3 stitched and painted. One has been stitched and will have the white background stippled and all the green leaves stitched around with red overstitching on the poppies.

Demonstration Laundry Bags.

Both of these laundry bags have been made with recently donated fabric. The main body of the top one is not cotton so it is not suitable for the laundry use, so I have made it as a display one for when I do laundry bag demonstrations. The T Towel panel is suitable though.
The same with this one. The main green is not a cotton, it is polyester. Put with a donated panel it makes for a great visual for people to see and get excited about the bags.

Aussie Hero Quilt In Progress.

Cup cakes and Tinkerbell is this Aussie Hero quilt request. Just 1 block left to do then ready for the next step.
I used pages from a colouring book for the quilt blocks, traced then stitched on the lines using free motion foot. These will now be painted with fabric paints. I have colour reference picture printed out to make them all the same. Having so much fun with this.

New Goals To Reach.

February Already? Wow! That was quick! I was looking back through my blog and realised I have not made toys in such a long time. Well over due, Jodie Carleton is one of my favourite designers, and so I went on etsy and chose the Llama, How cute are they, I will be making them for my Grand son. I could not stop there, I then saw Tilly and Ginger with their wonderful clothing I will make them for the K Mart Wishing Tree after seeing hand made goods again being accepted after an absence of 8 years.
I then found these lovely freebies at Shinyhappyworld.
and this one from Abby Glassenberg.
Finally this lovely free simple knitting pattern in multiple sizes from Yarnspirations.
As well as the quilt I am making for my daughter that i have until March to finish, I have plenty to do, as well as the Aussie Hero stuff.
