This is the start of my next Aussie Hero quilt request, cats. I chose some silhouettes of cats and will turn them into templates  so that I can rotate them and make some blocks with them. Meggie is helping.

Playing Card Bags.

While I have been waiting for the Aussie Hero list to come out I have been busy making bags for the playing cards as part of the gift packs that go out with the quilts and laundry bags. I have also pre cut backings, batting and laundry bag linings to be done to help be more efficient. This afternoon I will be making cards.

Weekend Sewing.

 The weekend sewing is for other charities and gift making for family and friends. This was my New Years promise to myself to keep myself more organised. This picture is the quilt I am making for my Grand Niece.

Aussie Hero Shopping.

 I am always on the lookout for things I can get to add to the packages for Aussie Heroes stuff. I needed something that said Aussie to me and on ebay I came across some air fresheners. He was selling them in sets of 25 or 50 but had also listed that he could do bulk amounts also. He did have 200 lemon scented. I wrote and asked if he could do the eucalyptus for the same price as the lemon, I told him what I wanted to do and he was very happy to do it. He said he would put in some extras as it is a good cause.

He was very generous indeed, He gave me an extra pack of 50. Thank you so very very much. All the quilts and laundry bags will have a couple of these in each of them.
