Just Outside My Sewing Room Door.

I just thought I might share something I have not posted before. There is a little place between my sewing room door and my sons bedroom door I use this as my space for my charity stuff that is made before they go to the various places. Under it is a large box of my sons costumes that we have made, that stays there. We have to go into our rooms sideways. From the hall way you cannot see it. From the top, capes, then comfort blankets, then draw string bags, then softies and in the fabric bag are more draw string bags. These will be going to the Angels for the Forgotten Charity in February. A wonderful lady in our cloth doll club collects them on our behalf which is one of the reasons why I have chosen this as one of my charities and I know they will get to where they are needed. The Christmas stuff that I have made for this year is in the caravan in the back yard.  Aussie Hero Stuff does not get stored, they go out as soon as they are done. Where do you store your stuff?

Super Hero Cape.

1 Super Hero cape made and finished, The others have their logos on and need the lining added. Job for tomorrow.

Super Hero Capes.

 Today I am making 8 Super Hero Capes for kids using this pattern.

I first printed it onto paper then using the roll of curtain fabric that I got from Savers made a more permanent template. (I knew I would find a use for it!) This is what I will be using that roll for in the future too. From the width of the roll I cut out on the fold 2 capes, then on the next fold I had the capes facing the other way, minimizes wastage. The larger pieces will be used for toys and the smaller pieces for the logos.

This is 4 of the polar fleece cut out for the outside of the capes.I cut the fleece in the same way as I did the lining.

Girls Comforter.

Made this this afternoon, a girls comforter 45 inches by 45 inches. For Angels for the Forgotten Charity. Pink polar fleece backing.

Buttons Added.

 The boys comforter has now been top stitched and buttons added.
