First On My HQ Sweet 16.

This is the first piece of sewing since Tilli passed away. Sewing on my Sweet 16.

Jodies Bird FLOCK pattern.

 Look at what I made today using materials I had on hand. The eyes are not set in I did not want to waste them, The felt I used was really thick so not suitable, but I wanted to do it now.

Love the instructions. I am so looking for=orward to getting quality materials to do it justice.

Super Hero Cape.

 Today I made a cape for my son.

 New Superman costume.

He is happy with it so that is good.

To give the quilt a bit more punch I am making sure that the anchors are having a flow about them by laying them out light to light and dark to dark.

These are the 5 gold and black prints I am using in this quilt. The chart show how they are going to be cut and reassembled.

Changes To The Quilt.

The changes to the quilt is chopping up the quilt block after they have been quilted and cut to 14 inches, breaking up the colours and adding a new pattern to the mix.

All the blocks have been sewn into rows, now to put those rows together.

Costume Finished,

My Grand niece Super hero costume is finished. Boot tops are just duct taped on. Headband has a velcro back , also the belt and the cape is a velcro closure.

Something Different.

 A different kind of sewing today, My Grand niece needs a Super Hero costume for her school on Monday. It looks red in this camera but it is hot pink. purple lining in her cape, her two favourite colours. I will add the elastic waistband when she tries it on and turn up the legs and sleeves to fit.

I have to stitch the logos on the outfits and make the mask and head band, belt and boot tops.

Something Different.

 I had a phone call last week, a friends friend was downsizing and had these clowns for a charity she is involved with. These were the finished ones and she had some cut out to sew along with some other dolls and clothes. She is unable to do them so I have said that I will take them on for her. Clowns actually freak me out, but as it is for charity I will have to get over it. I have 8 of them to do.

This is what I am doing today, Making pouches for the Aussie Hero playing cards I bought a week ago.

Tilli is sleeping in the felt in the top shelf of the wardrobe. Very comfortable.

Captain Cook Doll Continued.

 Still far from finished, but it is getting there.I worked on making the tricorn hat more needs to be done on that and the shoes have been started and decorating the coat. Made the cuffs but not attached and need decorating but it is getting there.

View from the back of the coat so far. Each of the panels have a decoration of gold at the top of the points these need to be added next. but the next thing that needs to be done is a quilt for Aussie Heroes so I will be putting him aside for now.

Getting there, I will be working on this doll for the weekend then making a quilt for Aussie Heroes then getting back to the doll.

All the blocks are appliqued and quilted. Next is the cutting out to size and putting them together and adding the backing and ditch quilting them together and then the black binding.
