Plush Toys.

This is what I have made today. Two cats using polar fleece from the cat pattern from http://www.shinyhappyworld.com/store
These will be finished tonight by having their whiskers embroidered. I love these patterns, simple but oh so cuddly. They will be going to the Angels for the Forgotten charity. This is their link. My plan for the next few weeks is to make a couple of toys a day.
Arrived at long last! Well worth the wait though! I did some research on my sewing machine and was pretty excited to find out that it took generic feet. 5 teflon feet for $3 with free postage on ebay.
and this set of 18 feet including the walking foot for $26 again free postage on ebay. I have tried them all out and they are great!

Christmas Crafting.

Sickness has kept me away from crafting for a couple of weeks but today I am feeling much better. I am getting things ready for my Crafternooners. A pile of cardstock trees cut out for them to fold, decorate and add to their 3d card making.
Remember those cute little glass decorations I picked up for 50c from the op shop the other week? There were 20 in total and this is how I am going to use them for tree decorations. Recycled electrical wire wrapped around a form to make a circle, cut and then taped to make a ring.
Crochet a single crochet all around, then another row on top of that, crochet single chain to make a loop and loop the little charm inside of that.

Christmas Decorations.

More Christmas baubles made. All 4 ply yarn and Styrofoam ball. Knitted in the round.
This is a piece of fabric that I love, Hand dyed velvet, simply scrumptious! I bought a piece from Spotlight the other day, enough to make some headbands and cover a large Styrofoam ball and I will be adding this delicious trim from Crafty Hijinks to it too.
Op shopping. All this lot for $20. The top row are elastic belts with hundreds of individual metal sewn on teeth like embellishments. I will be carefully using a seam ripper to disassemble them into their individual parts so that it all can be used in costuming.
The middle row are the cutest little glass ornaments, these will be the centre of some Christmas tree ornaments more on that later.
and lastly but not least, more 4 ply yarn. A lovely time yesterday.
