FRIENDS Swap

This is the package of FRIENDS gifts that my partner Illene received today. F, fingerless gloves, R rose scissor keep and scissors, I iron mat, E embellishments, buttons threaders and thread, N needles and notebook, D dyes and lastly S scarf. My partners favourite colours were green and pink. She was very happy with what I had made, and I had great fun.

Thumb Pincushions

Crafternoon did not happen this month as they had a birthday to go to, so this is what I have started to make. More gifts for the Crafty Hijinks. I was given a fabric sampler book a while back, the larger fabric swatches are going to be bags for Angels for the Forgotten and the small swatches were just the right size for these. The fabric is scotch guarded. I will keep a purple one for me.

Christmas Pins Assembled.

This is what I have been doing today. Cutting up the felt and assembling the kits. 50 done for the Christmas Party. Now to put them away in a safe place for December.

Felt Sewing

This is what I have been doing yesterday in preparation for the Crafternoon today. A little felt sewing machine brooch. First I stitched the sewing machine and embellishments to one piece of felt and then on the other piece of felt the backing I stitched on the pin. Then I stitched the two square felt pieces together. This is what I have decided to do for the ACDA Christmas Party Gifts, making up little kits of 3 squares of felt, 2 buttons and a pin back along with the templates.

I have been busy making gifts for my swap partner so no blogging for a few days, Having fun doing it though! I am very excited for the outing tomorrow to the Crafty Hijinks in Ballarat.  I made a mistake, It is not until September!

Crafternooners

For a couple of weeks my Crafternooners have been working with felt. I have been asking them to save all the little bits of felt that they think could not be used and they will be making little pictures that will be tags, cards and brooches. They will embroider them and add sequins and beads. This is just an idea of what they could be coming up with.

Aussie Hero Laundry Bags

 Last night I made these bags. The Harry Potter one is a special request.

This one also a special request, Sponge Bob Square Pants! This has gone to Jan-Maree along with the rest of the fabric, (it was a queen sized doona cover) to be made into a quilt. I would imagine that the pictures would be fussy cut an added to a quilt.
