Aussie Hero Quilts and Laundry bags.

Woo Hoo! The boxes I ordered have arrived, so now all my Makes for the Aussie Hero Laundry bags can start going out. I have enough boxes now to last me a while.
This is the first post of the year for me, 16 laundry bags in groups of 4 per box (that is to make sure that no colour is duplicated) The boxes are all addressed now ready to post on Monday.
Over 120 1/4 sized blocks, trimmed to 9 inches are also ready to go. These will laso be posted on Monday. Whilst there are enough blocks to make 3 quilt tops I think they need more of a colour mix and some clever people with great colour sense to make them work. These will be posted to Aussie Hero Quilt and Laundry Bags.
These are the Laundry bags now in the boxes.

Aussie Hero Quilt Blocks.

Aussie Hero Quilts and Laundry bags have started the year with the BOM. (Block of the Month). I have been cutting out fabric today, 6 1/2 inch squares.
 Arranged in  9 patch blocks.
Sew a 9 patch and cut it down the middle gives you a vast arrangement of block assembly of ideas.
 These are just a few.
 Another idea.
 Another idea.
This is the tin they are going to be kept in until I decide how they are going to be assembled.

Aussie Hero Laundry Bags.

I have 4 more laundry bags made. These were sheets from Savers originally. I have ready to sew 6 more bags and will be sewing those today.

Christmas Makes for 2013.

Whilst still in this festive season I was in the mood for making gifts, but these will be for next year 2013 Christmas.
I have vlysofixed some lovely cotton fabric, fussy cut it out to turn them into pins for next year. Each pin has a back, some beads for embellishment and some lovely wool fabric to fuse it onto and then I sewed around the pink wool leaving an opening for turning and stuffing. Turn and stuff and close the opening with a ladder stitch. Embellish the brooch front and then sew the brooch pin to the back.
These are all the fussy cut pieces sorted out and placed in a tin for later on. These will all be made into finished pins for the gifts to be handed out at my favourite stores.
These are kits for the ladies at my cloth doll club. 50 kits made. I will get some cards, add some instructions and stuffing and then they will be ready for them to assemble themselves.
