This is what I have been doing for the past 2 days. Quilt tops made so far.
These are blocks sent to me to be put into a quilt top along with my orange and blue fabrics added.
This is my table in the middle of my sewing room. I am making today a removeable top piece the size needed for a quilt for Aussie Heroes. The blue tape is the table centered.
Yesterday at Bunnings I had 4 pieces of 12 mm plywood cut to size. they were on special at $5 per piece instead of $20 each. For them to cut the wood to size cost only $1. The surface top will be covered with lino. and the edges will be covered with tape. The whole thing will be 80cms by 48cms. It will be much more comforable to do the quilts on.

Happy birthday, Sue. I hope you have a lovely day. Hugs, Christine
ReplyDeleteWasn't your birthday back on the 16th? You posted about your hubby's birthday gift of the Janome, and Robyn and I left comments wishing you a happy birthday!
ReplyDeleteGosh, with all those men in your household they should be ashamed of themselves, watching you go off to Bunnings and get wood to make yourself a table top! You're better than me - I would have got the Other Half to do that!
WOW look at you Sue, you are really into the swing of the quilts now, great job. Love the idea with the table top, you are so clever.
