 This is what I have been doing this weekend. All the little things that go into Aussie Hero quilt packages. Making cards,

 Using bookmarks for the quilt care instructions.

Aussie Heroes Shopping.

Posted a parcel this morning, and as usual since I was already out, we went to Spotlight. I am always looking for bargains to put into the care packages to go with the quilts and laundry bags. Got a really good bargain today, Lip balm, Terra Firma brand natural lip balms. Usually they are $5 each but today they were on special for 50c each. I bought the lot, 89 lip balms for $44.50 saving me $400.

Laundry Bag.

 I am always looking for things to use to individualize the laundry bags and quilts and so when i saw these shoe laces on sale in Spotlight I knew they were right for the Aussie Hero I was making for right now, He is proud of his English heritage.

 Using it for the cord for the laundry bag I cut the pair to fit and sewed them together.

Mid Year Count.

As is the custom I celebrate the mid year mark by doing a count of my charity makes. This year I have made so far, 5 toys, 25 quilts and 72 laundry bags.

All the blocks have been quilted, the appliques cut out ready to iron on and sew.

Parramatta Eels, White York Rose is the request for this one. The white rose will be turned into appliques.
Spotlight has the rotary blades on special, 40% off. Happiness is a sharp rotary blade. I must confess I do not change them often enough.
