Chichen Pincushions.

 This is what I have been making for the last couple of days.  I am using scraps of fabric and left over blocks chopped up into squares, 2 squares for each chicken. The squares can be any size, I have chosen to make these in 5 inch  blocks. They have been filled with the walnut litter, they will have fiberfill added to where I need to sew the closing seam and their button eyes added.

I needed to make a few more Christmas gifts and I am waiting on some fabric to make an Aussie quilt and do not want to have a big project so that I can get into making the quilt as fast as I can when it arrives.

Decorations.

I will be making these today for my daughter, She loves the idea of having birds in her Christmas tree so these cuties will be perfect!

Christmas Decorations.

The hangers and buttons and buckle arrived from the pack I bought from Jodie to make the Christmas decorations with from her lovely newsletter. This is what I will be making this evening. Some very enjoyable hand stitching,

Quilt In A Day.

 I woke up early today. I started this Aussie Hero quilt at 5am this morning. The request was for red and white, Swans themed quilt. I cut the striped fabric into squares and turned then side to side in alternate blocks. sewed them together 4 across and 7 rows down.

 It has the binding made by using the fabric on the back.
