Felt for Cup cake stand, and Meg. It is sometimes hard to do crafts when you have cats, but so much fun.
Felt covered cardboard, and bias binding around the edges.
The makings for a fabric cup cake pin cushion. The case is silicone.
Some of my purchases to go in the bags for the K.Mart Christmas Wishing Tree. I love Ebay! Just waiting now for the nail files. Each pack will have a nail polish, 2 lipsticks, an eyeshadow pack and an nail file. I will be making 24 packs. Total cost of each pack? $4.50 each. Love it!

Cup Cake Stand

While i am waiting for my ebay purchases to arrive to put into the Christmas bags, I came up with this. A cup cake stand. It will be covered with felt and bias binding.
One of the lovely things we are doing this Christmas is having a Pin Cushion Swap at our cloth Doll Club A.C.D.A. and i am making cup cakes. I thought it would be nice to put it on a stand.
I used 2 plates of different sizes, then made the stem making sure that the lower plate opening is larger than the top one so that it sits nicely.
These are a mix of cakes. Sewn ones with silicone cups and knitted ones.

I have not posted pictures of my cats for a while, this is in the afternoon, in the family room Tilli on top, and meg was looking at her from the floor.

Married

My Nephew Joce got married today, The weather was lovely. Jo the Bride was radiant, The other lady in the picture is Joce's sister, Romy, who is expecting her first baby in the first week of January. I love them all to bits! They got married in the City and everything went very smoothly. The reception was at a place called Kokoblack and we had a High Tea. It was a really lovely and special occasion.

News

My Nephew is getting married on Monday! Made these buttonhole flowers yesterday for the Bridal Party.

Finished

Cushions are done, Just need to hand stitch the bottom opening closed.
I think they turned out OK.
My knitting needle roll finished.
I am happy with the way they turned out. Time to clean the sewing machine then lunch, then off to Spotlight for some fleecy fabric and then back to charity sewing. I am having a lovely day, i hope you are too.
