Quilting Montage and Cats.
I have been busy this week, learning a new skill is both fun and frustrating! I have been happily cutting up my fabric and sewing them together and then decided to stop and take a look. I need Help! i realise i have no idea on what i am doing the colours look awful and i need to re sort out my fabrics.
Where and how do i start with this, do i sort it into colours, or print types, How do you sort out what is dark, medium and light tones? and i have a funny feeling that all my fabrics are one tone.
All part of the learning process i suppose.

What I did today. This is my first attempt at quilting, I have a lot to learn, but I had fun and the cats now have a new mat.

Baby Steps

Today i am venturing out for the first time in quilting and this is the book i am going to use. Start Quilting with Alex Anderson. 6 Projects for the First Time Quilter.
This describes me perfectly and i am eager to start.
the second book is what i aspire to do for charity, A Pioneer Doll and her Quilts by Mary Hickey.
Any quilter out there be free to send me their favourite tips.

Sorting Out

No crafting yesterday, just sorting out my book case and tidying up my sewing area in the family room.
These books and magazines are ready to go to a new home. Who ever wants them can pick them up from me and can have the lot.
let me give you a run down on what is there,

4 pairs of non prescription reading glasses.
