Next Aussie Hero Quilt Started.

First block started. North Queensland Cowboys (NRL) is this request. Not sure if the background show up but I have made a star shape out of cardboard and put double sided tape on the back of it and randomly sewed them on. Then in between  have used a random stipple. The sashings and the binding will be yellow.

Donations From Geelong.

 This is the quilt I am working on today. Put on hold for the moment because,

 When the lovely Michelle from Geelong popped in with donations she has collected through her talks on Aussie Heroes Quilts and laundry bags. Lots of lovely things here, Large pieces, fat 1/4s and small scraps, T Towels and crossword books,

As well as a Spotlight gift voucher and cash (JM knows how much they are).
A huge thanks for the donations from Geelong Probus and Geelong Trefoil (Senior Girl Guides).
I will be spending the time ironing and sorting them out into colour and themes. The small scraps will be sewn together and turned into blocks for the back of the quilt as you go quilts.

My next Aussie Hero quilt is for Peppa Pig featuring George. The in between blocks will be green, yellow and red blocks. I am using colouring pages to work from.

Gift For My Daughter.

This is a wall hanging I have made for my daughter. Helen Godden pattern Birds and Australian flowers. A couple of my own blocks thrown in.
