Aussie Hero request quilt finished. request was for blue, black, Vikings, Star Wars, ice hockey, Glasshouse Mountains, camping, the beach, black motorbike, Milo and meat pies.

Aussie Hero Quilt Continued.

All the decorated blocks are done, the spaces will be filled with black and blue blocks his favourite colours with all over quilting.

Aussie Hero Quilt Started.

This is the start of my next Aussie Hero quilt. A mixture of applique, fabric markers and fabric paint.
The blocks done so far are oversized to be cut to size later. The mountain scene is Glasshouse Mountains. To do the paintings I experimented on them first to see if it would work, Wash the fabric first, dry then add fabric medium 2 parts to 1 part acrylic paint. I then dried them with a heat gun, (much hotter than an iron or a hair dryer). washed them again, dried and then ironed and sewed them as a sandwich block.
