A.C.D.A. Christmas Party

Knitted Rose brooches finished. This along with a fat 1/4 each is the gifts i have made for our end of year Christmas Party for A.C.D.A. cloth doll club.

Now i can concentrate on making things to go under the K.Mart Wishing Tree and some other charities i am into this year.

knitting

This is the first piece of knitting my niece has made for her baby due in early January. A baby blanket.I am so proud of her achievements. i am now teaching her how to increase and decrease and knitting up a seam and simple eyelet patterns for her to do baby booties.

This is what i am working on currently. Making roses brooches for Christmas. This is what i am making for each of the cloth doll club members 50 of them to go.

Think Pink

This week at our cloth doll club, we had a Bra Challenge. It was all in fun and an awareness of breast cancer research. I bought a pink bra from Savers in Greensborough, and the pink from my stash, I made this!
A Pink bird of some kind.

I have also been knitting for a couple of weeks now, All of these baby clothes are ready and waiting to be sewn up. I will do that when my niece is ready to learn that step in knitting.

Costume Party

Mark and Myself at the Costume Party last night.
Leg wraps. Hessian and cord from Spotlight, sheeting from Savers.
Making the belt. Paper pattern pieces, we used cartridge paper to make the pattern pieces with, the inside from a childs toy shield, silver and gold spray paint, leather hole punch, spray adhesive round stationary magnets and cord.
The finished belt. It did up at the back with the cord lacing.
Leg shields. This was done twice, mirrored. Paper pattern was transferred onto cardboard pieces and hot glued together and the cardboard was curved and then spray painted gold.
Ribbon was added to the underside and the shields were strapped onto his legs. First though his legs were wrapped in both the cotton sheeting and the hessian then the guards on top.

Knitting

My niece is expecting their first baby due in early January next year and as an Auntie i am very excited! This is what i have been working on in the last week or so. A knitted sleep suit and a jumper. My niece lives in the next suburb away and yesterday i taught her how to knit. Very exciting indeed!

Tilli

Tilli is my Cat of the Day. Her white is not so white, but gray from the garden dirt. She will have her work cut out for her this afternoon! She had a wonderful time dusting her self under the garden herbs. At least she smells nice!

Memories

One day on a park bench a chef was busy carving this wonderful melon.
My nephews made this with me one day they are oven baked clay. In the morning we used play do then the actual things later on in the final product. A fabulous activity and a memory i will cherish.
Roll reversal! I taught 2 of my nephews how to knit, as well as my sister. This is one of my nephews and his mum.
Squirrels!! there are tons of them! 5 years ago when i was last in the U.K. you would see them in Hyde Park in London. Now they are everywhere and as plentiful as pigeons! I loved them.
Street baskets of flowers. Very very pretty and all over the place. All maintained by local councils. Love it!
