Cat of The Day

These are my daughters two lovely cats. They are my Cat of the Day pictures.

Both Have Passed!

Sydney was just wonderful, we went to watch my future Son In Law graduate from the N.S.W. Police academy. I was so proud and happy to see him, that i did not take pictures, (i let my hubby do that,) nor use the video camera, (my daughter did that) cos i could not keep my emotions under control, tears of joy just streaming down my cheeks.
Michael said he could not look at me because if it and had to keep himself just concentrating on his task.
The weather was very hot that day, and the speeches were just wonderful, made me very very proud.

The next day my daughter got her results from her course, She has passed! she is now an accountant! Double Celebration.

Day 3 and the move to their new home in the beautiful place called Bathurst. They are currently renting an old house in Bathurst that has all the lovely features of the wide hallway, wooden paneling, high ceilings, lovely garden with herbs and mature trees, just lovely. The roads are wide and quiet too.
I know they will be happy there with nice fresh air away from the hustle and bustle of City life.

Daughters Visit

My daughter went home last night after a quick, mad, action packed, whirlwind 3 day visit.
Our plan was to go dress shopping and perhaps narrow down the search for the dress style she liked.
In this time we concentrated on the wedding.
Made the invitations, Looked at the glasses we had bought, Went to deliver the Softies For Mirabel and the first wedding dress store we went to and trying them on, was dress number 3. In her words, I LOVE IT!!!
So Dress Is Bought! The rest of That day was spent in a daze, after looking only for just under 1 hour, in a place we would not have been too if we did not drop off these toys we had found the perfect dress, She looks just stunning in it.
Yesterday we took her to see where we had booked her wedding to be, Wellers. As we were driving up the road, she started to realise she had been here before, This is the place where she and her partner first met his mum and they had dinner there. How spooky and wonderful is that!
Well I Did Good!! She Loves the place and more pictures were taken, the menu and wine list organised.
More on this another time.
My daughter went home last night, happy that so much had been achieved.

My Family

This is a picture of Joce (Jocelyn) and his girlfriend Jo (Joanne). Joce is my nephew from Mauritius and he is here studying and has one year left to go. They will be getting married next year February 14th. WONDERFUL people and i love them very much.

This is my youngest Jonno (Jonathan). A very creative spirit, a muso and a gentle soul.

So now you have met my family (except my hubby who does not want to be photographed and i respect that). He too is a wonderful person without him i would be at best, living in a cardboard box in England under a bridge somewhere. I owe him my life.

Steph and Skype

This is the first image i had of my daughter Steph when we tried to contact each other through Skype. Although not quite what we wanted i loved, This is what i got anyway. I took a picture of the picture and here it is. To me it is beautiful. I miss her as she lives in Sydney and i live in Melbourne. I hope the glitches work out soon and i can really see her.

Pets

I asked my daughter Steph if she had any pictures of Zena and Gabrielle the guinea pigs for my blog, she did, she also sent me this one. Mark and Jake. I just had to show it. They were inseparable. both fast asleep on the carpet.
This picture was taken a few years ago now, but still is the most recent picture i have of my middle son Mark. He is an introvert, very loving, kind and thoughtful but very camera shy.


Zena and Gabrielle. These two guinea pigs were my daughters pets. We bought them one day whilst at Preston Market We went to the market with my daughter Stephanie (Steph) and it was then that we asked her to choose two guinea pigs. Hedley (my husband) and I had discussed it and we felt she was responsible enough to take care of these lovely little creatures, cleaning, feeding and playing with them. Coming back in the car, with the two on her lap in a cardboard box she could not stop crying. She could not believe they were hers. She was wonderful with them. Gabby (brown and white one) was older, more timid and Zena (black and white one), younger, quicker and more adventurous.
They have passed now but were with us for 7 amazing years. We bought their play equipment from Bunnings wide plastic piping.

We kept their hutch in the family room. It was a favourite treat for Puds the dog to be indoors and watch them. We called it Pud's T.V.
I can recommend guinea pigs as pets for kids.

Our Pets now Passed

This first one is Puddy, Puds for short, (When the kids were little they thought it funny, (He is a puddy dog, not a poody cat).He was a German Sheppard , Labrador cross. Very very gentle, Loved his tummy and his ears rubbed. Bought from a market in Bundoora which has now closed.
This is Joe, He is a terrier cross with a bit of everything, who had just the biggest grin, He had a crooked paw, was cross eyed, and just LOVED Puds heaps, followed him everywhere, Puds used to dig dips in the garden for joe to sit in, so that when the wind blew, it would pass over him and he would not get cold. Joe was bought a little while later to be a companion to Puds, Also from the same market.

This is Jake. Jake got his name from my mother Joan, and her husband Mike. Originally i was going to use the first two letters from my mum and the last from her husband but that would have made him Joke. He was bought from a friend down the road. Their cat had kittens born in the back of a bus that they had in their garden. I picked the kids up from school one afternoon with him in my pocket. He was the runt of the litter and cost us 3 second hand Barbie dolls. He was a wonderful boy.
All three of them have now gone, but they were with us for about 16 years, and all passed away within a couple of years of each other. They were all runts of the litters, (i have a thing about the most needy). If i was to buy a Christmas tree it would be all twigs, i am sure of it.

Our Pets now Passed

This is my favourite picture of our cat Whiskey. He was a really lovely boy, but sadly one of those kitties that go for a walk and not come back. He was a rescue cat. we miss him very much.
