Spotlight Shopping.

 Today I went Spotlight bargain shopping. My sister gave me a Spotlight e-card voucher for Christmas and I want it to go a long way. These fabrics are Christmas fabrics with gold running through them, I will use them in the sashings and bindings for a bit of pop as they don't read as Christmas and they were 75% off.

I also bought these poppy fabrics in the reduced section also reduced further with another 40% off. A good days shopping. My voucher is going to last a good while, keeping my eye out for bargains and get them when I see them. Keeping my eye out for pinks for the Pink Project. Thanks Sis!

A Lovely Surprise Gift.

 Earlier this week I received in the post a surprise, a really lovely gift of orphan squares and half made left over blocks from the lovely Jodie. She is a brilliant toy designer who has recently branched out into fabric design too. Check out her blog.

 The orphan blocks I think go nicely as two distinct groups. Adding my own stash to the projects I am thinking of group 1 as a baby quilt and group 2 as an adult lap quilt.

These half made blocks will be for a baby quilt. As soon as they are made I will show them and let you know what charity they will be going to. Thanks again Jodie,

How lucky am I?
I have the Purrfect use for it. I will be making a special gift for my niece who is expecting her first baby any day now. and something for myself too. Thank you Jodie for such a generous and wonderful gift. I absolutely love it.

Laundry Bags.

This fabric arrived in the post today, fabric for 2 laundry bags to be forwarded to a lady who has made the quilts to go with them. I will get them done right away and post them back to her.

Fabric Donation For Charity Makes.

Today I went to our cloth doll club, A.C.D.A. (The link is on my right hand side if you want to learn more), Look at this wonderful fabric I have been given to use by one of our members. (I won't name her unless she gives me permission to do so). Green cotton great for quilts and laundry bags, and blue heavier weight fabric, also cotton, great for backings and bags. Thank you so much  I really do appreciate your support.

Laundry Bag Lining Fabric.

A couple of days ago I bought a roll of fabric from Savers in Mill Park. Today I have cut it up for the inner lining of the Aussie Hero Laundry bags. There was enough fabric to make 35 bags and 70 four inch cord strips Not bad for $15. I am not sure what the fabric is called but it is as strong and sturdy as cotton drill.
