Deck Of Cards Holder.

 I bought this lovely cork fabric from Savers at $8 per metre and will be turning it into simple card holders for the Aussie Hero gifts.

Very simple, Just 2 rows of stitching that attaches the strap to the back. slide the cards in at the sides and clip shut.

For Christmas my husband gave me some money and my son Mark did too. This is what I bought as part of the Aussie Hero packages. They were $2.50 each form Dimmeys and Dimmeys gave me 5 for free. Thanks Dimmeys for your support.

 Yesterday I was making cards for Aussie Heroes.

Cards all done and blank cards with my address on the envelope too for the chance if they want to send me a Thank you and book marks with quilt care instructions.

Quicky Brooches.

 Using multiple sheets of the same tags I am cutting them out and layering them to make brooches.

Glueing them onto wooden discs and hot glue a pin back.

Aussie Hero Silent Auction Item.

 This is the chess set I made for the Aussie Hero silent Auction dinner.

 Red and Gold, Blue and silver.

With drawers to hold them in. It sold and the owner loved it. I have been asked to make one for next year too. Just got back from the Canberra dinner and events that was 4 days in Canberra and then a visit to my daughter in Bathurst for just over a week. Got back last night at 11pm. Tired but raring to go.

 This is my new machine. A Janome MC400E. I used the Brother Innov-is 1200 to part exchange on this model. Very happy indeed.

Aussie Hero quilt so far. Waiting on the middle block to arrive to decide how I will chop the navy blue blocks to fit it in. So far the quilt is in 2 parts.

New Project.

 The zips I bought a few years ago and the fabric a couple of weeks ago both from Savers, are now being turned into a requested Item, lingerie bags for the females. 

French seams and jelly rolls are being used in this project to make them all different.
 The chess st is finished and I will post pictures after the Aussie Hero Dinner. Originally it was going to be a raffle item but that has now changed to a silent auction.

The embroidered blocks arrived for the quilt I started last week so I will get back to doing that, Meanwhile I have started making a raffle prize for the Aussie Hero Dinner, It will be a cloth chess set. This is the start of the pawns. Blue and silver, and the other set will be red and gold.
