 This is the quilt so far. The painted blocks are ready and heat set. Started on the plain blocks.

I have 4 more plain blocks to do. No two blocks are the same colour and the colours chosen are those that were fashionable at the time. Two different eras, two different palettes.

Aussie Hero Donation.

 Today I received these lovely hand made wood turned pens from a friend whose husband makes them as a hobby. He is not (as yet) taking orders for them but I he does he has my number.

Very lucky men to get these gifts. I will make sure they know how special they are.

Laundry Bags, Laundry Bags.

This week I am making loads of laundry bags. No quilt as I am waiting for the post to finish the quilt started last week. I have thanks to my daughters Christmas present a 5 kilo pre paid post bag that I have worked out will take 18 laundry bags. 6 done so far today.

Garden and Quilt.

 Continuing the progress of the flowering  plant in my front garden. It is starting to open up.

Aussie Hero quilt so far. Waiting on the patch to put onto the middle block. The block is quilted so I will applique it onto the centre and make a border around it to tie it all together.

The top netting is the original colour and the other two fabrics are dyed. I am very happy indeed as I will be using them in my daughters wall hanging.

Op Shopping. Christmas In July.

 As per usual, when I am out and about I look in op shops for bargains. This is what I found today, Epping Salvos. netting and a lightweight tape. Total spend, $14.00.

 This is what it is for, making produce bags to use instead of plastic when you shop. I will be making 3 of these to go into the prize pack of bags for the Christmas in July fundraiser.

 This is the large lined shopping bag the last of the prize pack. 7 bags in total. 3 mesh bags, 3 fold up bags and this large tote.

 I am making gift bags for the people at the fundraiser, (You have to have gifts at a Christmas party, and I don't do food!) Handles for the large tote and all the bits to make a mesh produce bag. Bag instructions written in the card.

Packages in this paper gift bag. I am making 30 of them. If I have time I will make some mesh bags for sale and all proceeds to go to the charity.
