This is the front of the dog block, the dog has been trapuntoed.
This is the back of the dog block.
This is the back of the floral block. I have quilted it from this side using the outlines of the bubbles for full effect.
This is the front of the blocks with bubbles for the back. This will in effect give the quilt more texture, a mix of densely quilted blocks and others less dense.

Ready To Put Together.
All the blocks have been quilted and cut ready to assemble. I am using this lovely brown with coppery gold in it for all the sashings and binding.
Aussie Hero Quilt Continued.
These are the 5 gold and black prints I am using in this quilt. The chart show how they are going to be cut and reassembled.
Changes To The Quilt.
The changes to the quilt is chopping up the quilt block after they have been quilted and cut to 14 inches, breaking up the colours and adding a new pattern to the mix.
Next Aussie Hero Quilt.
This is the layout of my next Aussie Hero quilt. The request is for black and gold, intricate patterns.
This is the close up of the lovely fabrics except for the plain blocks.
I love the gold running through them all.
All the blocks will have free motion quilting.
I may change these blocks for plain gold on either side of the black blocks, too much white in it.

Invictus Games Laundry Bag.
While this is not the front of my laundry bag it is I identical to one I did. I was asked to take part in a very special project. Making a bag for the Invictus Games. It is an honor and a privileged to do so. Keeping it quiet until now.
The back we could do anything we wanted with plenty of open spaces for them to have signatures to add. This is the back. I wish them well, and thank you for your service.

Love This Technique.
Two more blocks to do, I tried it with the blocks the other way as well before deciding on the blues on the edges and surrounding the middle block, this way it pops more. I will be using this technique again, it was so much fun.
I could not resist, I went to Spotlight and using my 40% off I bought some Tulip Fabric Crayons. I will give it a go and let you know how they turn out.

First Block done.
I used a chalk line to do the shape and after it was finished I wiped it off with a very lightly damp cloth. them I cut it to size.
Aussie Hero Quilt Choice This Week.
This is my quilt choice for this week, Coat of Arms.
This has been turned into a stencil and will be appliques.
This is the stencil I will be using for the plain blocks. I will be making them using the trapunto method I have been looking at trying out.

This is the first of two bags for this week. I have a lot of stuff happening this week so I can only choose quick projects. This was for favourite colours, red blue and purple.
