Plans for this lot? Shirts, turned into quilt blocks, bias binding and the cuffs, I plan to undo the side seam, add a zip, Instant wrist purses. Buttons for the jar to be used in later projects, pockets to be inserted into bags. Wool jackets, turned into toys, pin cushions and appliques. Jeans! I am thinking many things here, bags, tops of the laundry bags, teddy bears to name but a few. and lastly but not least, these bright orange Hard Yakka pants with safety reflective strips, kids back packs, tops of laundry bags. This was a really fun trip!
Work in progress, My $1 ironing board had been dismantled, cardboard covered fabric inserted and $4 worth of dowels have been cut to size, inserted into the frame and will be wall mounted using the velcro wall strips designed for picture frames.
Lots of bargains there, Sue. Those bits will keep you busy for ages. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours.
Busy for ages? That is an understatement! I love the way you see the potential in stuff that I wouldn't have looked at twice, although I wish I'd been a fly on the wall at Savers, it must have been a madhouse over there :-)
