I thought I might share how I have my batting stored. I do this for all the fabric rolls I have.
I get 2 kitchen garbage bags, the kind that is on a roll, using two bags one on each side, cut the handles and bow them to each other. This makes them easy to keep dust free, plus these are lemon scented! Larger rolls? Use larger bags.
Quilt top complete. Ready to sandwich together with pins. This is how I have it on my table.

Your quilt looks lovely
ReplyDeleteWe use the same technique for holding down the backing and batting, Sue. I love your technique for the rolls of batting. I'll have to give it a go. I've got nice smelling bags as well. :)
ReplyDeleteMy tabletop that my hubby made for me is around 1cm thick and I use big clips to peg it down. It is so effective. A bit of patience doing this for the backing and batting saves a heap of heartache in the quilting. :)
I look forward to your next installment. :)
wow your top looks awesome Sue,well done.xx
