This is going to be my first project for my home and the first time doing applique.I will be making 6 table mats and a table runner.
The book is called 501 Quilt Blocks a treasury of patterns for Patchwork and Applique published by Murdock Books. The sandwich fabric is 100% recycled blanket from Aldi.
I have decided to make one block for each place mat and then use all the blocks in the table runner.
Now the fun starts, choosing the fabrics from my stash.
Lovely blocks; I have the same book, but have never tried any of the blocks, just enjoying all the pictures. Good luck with your first applique project; it's my favourite technique as you really can applique anything (and I do:-))!
