Birthday Cake And Next Quilt Started.

 Yesterday it was my husbands Birthday and my beautiful niece mad him this very delicious cake. The sponge is the lightest texture, multiple layers, Just wonderful.

This quilt is going to be a fun one to do. Harry Potter, vibrant colours and puzzles is this request. I found some colouring pages and will be working from that. First block well underway.

This is for the solid quilt blocks. I have enlarged the central piece of the badge and simplified it, labelled it and traced it onto template plastic. Cut it out and now using the erasable pen I will transfer it onto the fabric for sewing.

Using the same fabric pieces for the star block configured differently makes for added interst with no extra effort.

Next Aussie Hero Quilt Started.

This one is TAJI symbol and green. I am doing 14 inch blocks using the Aussie Hero Star block. with the patch in the middle of every other block. 7 of them. the beige/brown is the neutral to break the colours up. Black will be the joining strips and the binding.
