Love This Technique.

Two more blocks to do, I tried it with the blocks the other way as well before deciding on the blues on the edges and surrounding the middle block, this way it pops more. I will be using this technique again, it was so much fun.
I could not resist, I went to Spotlight and using my 40% off I bought some Tulip Fabric Crayons. I will give it a go and let you know how they turn out.

I used a chalk line to do the shape and after it was finished I wiped it off with a very lightly damp cloth. them I cut it to size.

 This has been turned into a stencil and will be appliques.

This is the stencil I will be using for the plain blocks. I will be making them using the trapunto method I have been looking at trying out.
