This is the back. All my female recipients will have this fabric for quite a while. I bought a whole roll from Spotlight, double width fabric.

Camel Blocks Re Done.

Phew! What a work out! Lol. So glad I picked up on my mistake before I put it all together. Black camel blocks all sewn and quilted. Lunch break and then I will put it all together.

Aussie Hero Request Quilt. Boo Boo.

 This is the blocks so far. I was going to put it all together when I re read the request I saw it said black camels, not black, camels.

I tried dying it but only the background took the colour, so I have to start again. One good thing is that I have camel blocks for another request for another time. must read carefully next time.

Poppy Blocks Completed.

The poppy blocks are done, now to pick the colours for the other blocks and these will have camels appliqued on them.

Aussie Hero Quilts Started.

 This is the quilt I have started originally this week, this is the background for the appliques to go onto. Bombs, explosions and jets are the request for this one in reds oranges and yellows. The colours chosen for the background will help those colours pop.

Sketching down ideas for this quilt. I am thinking bright bold cartoon style appliques.
This has now been put aside as an urgent quilt has come in and needs to be done by next week.

Poppies, black and camels on earthy colours. These poppy blocks were in a panel that I have cut up, placed on an angle, quilted over the top free motion. lots of foot changed and colour changes.
