Shopping And Donations.

 Yesterday I went to our cloth doll club (ACDA) and one of the fabulous ladies there  (Eva) gave me this lovely bag of cotton batting. I have put a pen on the top for scale. Thank you so much Eva, Many many quilts for Aussie Heroes will come from this.

Spotlight shopping. Making the most of the $40 Spotlight voucher. The patterned fabric was $2 a metre, I am thinking of quilt backings and laundry bag linings for this, and female pillowcases. The plain cotton fabric was also on special and for the footy/rugby quilts I bought 2 metres of each. Amount saved was $95.

This is a very simple request quilt this time. Maroons, colours Maroon and gold. The sashings on this one will be gold.

This is the quilt so far. Different shades of yellow and blocks with black. Half of the blocks have been quilted so far.

Pillow Case

Today I have made a pillow case for the first time. French seams so no raw edges, using this tutorial.

I have a game I play, every time I do something or go somewhere for the first time even travel down a street for the first time I make a wish. It is not only a fun idea, but it makes for a great memory keeper. Pinch Punch first day of the month is another game I play.
I will be adding pillowcases with all the quilts from now on.
