This is the next Aussie Hero quilt I am working on. Quilt as you go panels this time in 3 units. Touch football, aircraft, Bega cheese T towel and water skiing.and favourite colour blue. I am going to fussy cut out the deck chairs and add it to the sand.

Next Aussie Hero Quilt.

 This is the start of my next Aussie Hero quilt. The request is for F1, V8 Supercars and black and white. Another quilt as you go but this time, 2 pictures wide and 5 pictures down. This first picture is an F1 car, part applique, coloured in and black lines stitched to give it depth and movement.

 Having been unable to track down suitable fabric I decided this was the way to go. Using images from the internet of the cars and tracks each block will be part applique, line drawing and colouring in and then outlining and tracing with the sewing machine to do several things, stabilizing the fabric and quilting and highlighting and giving it texture.

These pictures will be the inspiration for the next couple of blocks. I am having fun with this one.
