The Easter bunny car accessories have been picked up, and attached to the car. One very happy customer.

School Library Chair Makeover.

This is going to be my biggest chair make over yet! This was delivered to me today, as is, thank goodness there is a lot of info on the internet about upholstery makeovers! This chair is going to be covered in white fabric,
This lovely hardwearing white cotton drill fabric was bought from Savers in Greensborough a couple of weeks ago when I knew i was going to do this project. It cost me $15.
These are some of the books so far that are going to be used for inspiration to make the 3d characters that are going to be attached to the chair with velcro patches and press studs so that they can be moved around and changed. The Mr Men characters will be floor cushions cos all the characters are nice and flat and there are so many of them. How cute will they look with just their limbs showing. All the facial features will be black felt applique. I am really pumped and looking forward to starting it.

Easter Car Accessories

This is a set of Easter bunny ears, nose and a tail for a car! a special order, I hope she likes it. I had not heard of such a thing before. Good fun though.

Sewing Room.

I am finally using my very own space. I love it! a dream come true.

Sewing Room Table.

I feel my sewing room is complete now. I bought this desk from Savers yesterday. I went to Savers to look for a chest of drawers for my sons bedroom, I did not find that, but I did find this!
The front flap still needs a little adjusting to be level. This bit is for the keyboard originally. I will be having it level permanently by adding a bracket to the underside so that it cannot be moved.
The sides can be up or down depending on how much table space I need. When I saw it for $3.99 I had to have it. I borrowed a screwdriver and a spanner and dismantled it into 4 parts in the store so that it would be like a flat pack and fit in the car. I am still looking for the chest of drawers for my sons room. It was quite grubby but I used water soluble Tea Tree Oil and the marks came right off.

Tuesdays Treasures.

I am playing a game with The House on the Side of the Hill Click on the picture to be taken there and play with us. This week we are doing pets. This is my favourite picture of a cat we used to have. His name was Whiskey and he was a rescue from The Cat Protection Society in Greensborough, (the place where we also got our current cats Tilli and Meg.) He was very playful and inquisitive, He was only with us for a short while, a year and a half but he is in our hearts forever.

Tilli, Meg and New Sewing Room.

Not much happening in the way of sewing this week, for a good reason! I have been busy de hording my caravan and getting ready to have my own sewing room. This is Tilli last night, the bed was dismantled and moved from the bedroom into the hall and family room. Tilli loves to be up high, watching us from above on the mattress in the hall.
Meggie being a ground dweller true to form always looks for new chin rests. 3 rooms were moved around last night and today, now in bedroom 1 is the bed from bedroom 2, bedroom 2 is now my sewing room, and bed from bedroom 1 is now in bedroom 3. We finished bedrooms 1 and 3 last night at 3am.
and I started on bedroom 2, now my sewing room at 8am and finished about 4pm. I still have to tidy it up and vacuum but at least it is all in there now.
I do have a new project in the works, A chair make over for the school library, We have yet to find the chair that is going to have a revamp, but watch this space! I am very excited about it.
