Wedding Cake

My daughter has made her decision on the wedding cake,
It is going to be a baked pistachio cheesecake (Hubby to be, favourite food) made and designed and decorated by my best friend Lillian who is an amazing artist. No pictures yet cos at the moment it is a design concept. Nice to have another item ticked off the list.
My daughter will be coming down again in a weeks time for her final fitting on her dress, meeting my friend Lillian and talking final details,
More good news!
My Sister-In-Law from Mauritius is here and it is really lovely to see her again.
I have made 1 gift so far, for my 4 swap partners, going to have a look at my now tidy stash and start something new for one of my other partners. I just love being in the sewing mode again, (now if i just keep it all under control i won't have to waste my time tidying up!
I wish you all a happy and creative day.

  1. The cake sounds quite unique and absolutely delicious. Good Girl, get sewing!
    Hugs - Lurline♥

  2. Yum! That sounds like a divine wedding cake - much better than mud or fruit cake.Ann:)

  3. Hi Sue,
Oh yum, that cake sounds very yummy. Do you think you could save me a piece? lol
Sorry to read about your nephew, however I suppose they made this choice for a reason.
Sounds like is all going well for your daughters wedding.
Have fun with your sister in law.

  4. Hi Sue,
Sounds like a great idea for a wedding cake...except for the nuts of course LOL. I also think the shoes look great too...sounds like you guys are going to have a lot of fun (and are already)
Sorry to hear about your nephew's wedding plans, but its best to do what they think is right. Its funny how things change isn't it...a couple of generations ago, 20 wouldn't have seemed too young at all.
Enjoy having fun with your SIL.

  5. The cake sounds absolutely wonderful.
    Happy creative weekend :D
