Monkey Marionette

This is the mouth assembly in cardboard. This shows my design process. This is the side view.
Mouth cut out ready to sew together. I will be tacking it all by hand and sewing on the lines then taking it to the machine for final finish.

  1. Hi, I can't wait to see your finished monkey. Do you figure this out in your head and make the patterns yourself? It's so cool to see the steps you take to construct your creations.

On your earlier post about wearing clothes backwards, etc. I recently left the house with two different shoes on. The sandals were of the same type (slip on thongs) and I just slipped them on quickly and didn't notice for a while. I later asked a friend if she noticed and she said she had but didn't say anything because she knew I was grieving for the loss of two dear family members. I laughed and said to her "so you let me go around looking crazy". We got a good laugh out of it. So your not alone, I just don't understand why people just don't say "excuse me, did you know that you have on two different shoes". Anyway, you have a great day!

  2. Hi Cora. Yes i make the patterns myself. I cannot draw but i cut out right away using cardboard and scissors and put the pattern pieces together using masking tape. If i saw someone with two different shoes i would say something too. My husband went to work one night wearing the same type shoes, one was brown and the other black.
