Aussie Heor Quilt Choice This Week.

Mixing it up this week, 6 laundry bags to go to the same place,(individual boxes though!) similar but different. all the same request, black with yellow or aviation and the 1SQN Crest. All the fronts of the bags will be 1 of the black and white combos, the back the aviation fabric, the tops will be the black and yellow tacos fabric. All the linings will be the same. This was chosen because of the lovely big puzzle books I have for their packages.
I do have a quilt this week too, more on that later.

Trauma Dolls.

Washed donated fabric has been ironed and cut to size for Trauma dolls. Using an erasable pen and traced around, this will be the sewing line then cut out turned out ready to be stuffed for the ACDA group to stuff. This is only part of the fabric that has been donated. More to do later on.

ACDA Meeting, Gifts, Buys, Bargains.

Today I went to our cloth doll club, ACDA today and at lunch time I went out and found these bargains. $1 each, I bought 6 and my frind bought the others for the Aussie Hero packages. Thank you so very very much.
The same was with these, I bought half of them and my friend bought the rest, also $1 each. These are bigger and weigh more so they will go into packages that request just a laundry bag.
If that was not enough, The same friend also gave me this bag she had ordered for herself but was not the colour she wanted, Adorable! and these lemons from her house too. (I had just 1 job to do today that was to BUY some lemons), Because of this I was able to get the puzzle books. How lucky am I to have such good friends.
Another friend had this suitcase up for grabs, Yes please! Great for storage.
What an amazing day!

Piecing Scraps.

This is what I am doing this morning. Piecing all my batting scraps ready to cut into squares for the quilts. I have them all in a bag until the bag is full then zig zag them all together. No waste.

Spotlight Stuff.

Spotlight bargains, Wonderfil Wonderguard thread spool covers, pack of 10 for 50c. These are going to go into my sewing friends Christmas cards this year. They are self clinging plastic film you put around your threads to prevent tangling and drying out.
I also received this lovely lot of fabric to use for my charity makes. All will be used for the backs of the quilts, the Christmas fabrics will be used for the quilts in December. Thank you so much.

Joining Blocks.

All the cat fabrics are very feminine, so my idea of drawing out the greys will help it along. I am using this cotton herringbone webbing to join the blocks together, the white on the back to hold it together and the grey on the front sewn on after.

Making Thank You Gifts.

In the evenings I have been making these decorations for thank you gifts. Crochet 4 ply cotton, curtain rings and buttons. Each pack will have enough cotton to make 2 with adornments to add as well as the instructions both written and a chart.

This is a 1 word request, cats.
