Everything In Bulk.

How lovely is this! A double sided double bed doona cover, hand made from Savers for $4. I measured it and it can be carefully un picked from the sides to make 2 quilt tops with some appliques to make them personal. A great find!
It is all about the preparations. 6 sets of 4 laundry bags all washed, cut and ready to sew.
I bought 60 of these on ebay for $20. Christmas gifts sorted!
Finally, quilt backings washed and sorted.
I have been getting some knitting done in the evenings in the past few days. Scarves for Guardian Pharmacy.

10mm knitting needles, 3 balls of 8 ply yarn, at least one of them variegated.
13 stitches, 2 row pattern.
Cast on 13 stitches.
1st row: K4, p1, (k3, p1) to last 4 stitches, k4.
2nd row: K2, p1, (k3, p1) to last 2 stitches, k2.
this makes a nice rib stretchy rib pattern. The variegated yarn helps tie in the colours and if you use a sock yarn you get a pattern running through it too.
The light blue one has a 4 ply sock yarn in it. Do a test few rows and vary the yarns used, a good way to use up your oddments.

  1. You have a very canny knack for the bargains, Sue!
I love your scarf pattern and the colourways that have come out are really lovely. I am sure that these will be well received.
    Nice work.
