Table Top Finished.

Table top is finished and in the sewing room.
It has enough room to go round 3 sides, Just right! It has a dark blue pleather (plastic fake leather) topping. Easy to clean.  To put the top on it I pulled and held it taught using bulldog clips and then on the underside used carpet tacks.
This is the table top before the covering.

It is My Birthday! Quilting And Making.

This is what I have been doing for the past 2 days. Quilt tops made so far.
These are blocks sent to me to be put into a quilt top along with my orange and blue fabrics added.
This is my table in the middle of my sewing room. I am making today a removeable top piece the size needed for a quilt for Aussie Heroes. The blue tape is the table centered.
Yesterday at Bunnings I had 4 pieces of 12 mm plywood cut to size. they were on special at $5 per  piece instead of $20 each. For them to cut the wood to size cost only $1. The surface top will be covered with lino. and the edges will be covered with tape. The whole thing will be 80cms by 48cms. It will be much more comforable to do the quilts on.

Kitties And Crafting.

This is Tilli this morning, It is a shame she does not like a blanket because I think she is feeling a little bit cold, so tightly curled up.
Meggie is on our bed.
At Savers yesterday I picked up 2 packets of 4 plastic table mats for $2 each.
This is what I bought them for, and it works! Template plastic for quilting pieces. I have made one set and the Crafternooner ladies will be tracing them from my original pieces and cutting out a set for themselves and will keep them in a zip lock bag. I am looking forward to it. This makes a set of templates for 25 cents.
